What You May Not Know About A Lubbock, Texas Judge

As a former Lubbock girl, I try to stay up to date on what goes on in this West Texas Town. Back in 2012, Lubbock made National news when one of its judges, Tom Head, had this to say:

If President Barack Obama is reelected, the country will be under threat of invasion by the United Nations and should brace for a possible civil war.
Democrats pounced all over that, calling for him to resign and you know the drill. Say something against Obama and you'll have the Democratic Dragon breathing down your neck. But sadly, Lubbock Republicans pounced, too. This is a major problem. Just because someone has an (R) after their name does not mean they are a Republican. Many in the GOP are noting more than progressives and I wish people would research a little more before checking the box at the voting booth.

"He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the U.N., and what is going to happen when that happens?" Head said. "I’m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations. We’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.""Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say, 'You’re not coming in here'."
But look at the Country today as compared to 2012 when Judge Head made these remarks. Obama has tried to give the U.N. power. In March of 2013, we came within 4 votes of having our Constitutional rights handed over to the U.N. In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure to stop the U.S. from entering in to the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, which would have removed our 2nd Amendment right.

It would seem to me that Judge Head is right. If Obama can't remove our rights himself through the House, then he will attempt to do so through Executive Order and/or through the U.N. And if that happens, there will be a major civil unrest in this Nation. And I salute Judge Head for being willing to stand against such tyranny when so many others are not.

As of today, Judge Head is still in office so he ignored those within his own party who called for him to resign. Good for you, Judge. And I hope the majority of Lubbock believes in you as much as I do when election time rolls back around.  We need more people who have their eyes open and less of those who choose to stick their head in the sand.

  1. I live in Lubbock and was very proud of this Judge! He is forthright in his speech and is very aware of how things in DC affect the country - even in Lubbock Texas.

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention!

    1. Hey Lubbock and welcome! Having lived in Lubbock, I know that there are some judges there who are...less than forthright in their judging. I too was refreshed with what Judge Head had to say. Sadly, he is more in the minority than the majority. If more would take a stand such as he did, maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are in right now. Hope to see you back...
