Lord, I hope so.
On The Glenn Beck Program Monday, TheBlaze’s national security editor Buck Sexton took “a look back” at 2013, and considered what 2014 will hold for the American people.
“Will 2014 be the year the pendulum finally swings back away from progressives?” the guest host asked. “Can conservatives finally re-take the high ground?”
Sexton said the long list of scandals and debacles plaguing the Obama administration should pose an opportunity for those on the right to present a path to more individual liberty.
“How many more big government failures and scandals does one need before (people) realize, it ain’t working!” Sexton said. “I bet you’ve forgotten more Obama scandals and debacles than most administrations ever have.”

Sexton proceeded to reference the IRS targeting of conservative groups, NSA “spying,” the rollout of Obamacare, quantitative easing, millions wasted on green investments, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and more.
As the former CIA officer described it, if we can’t “restore some semblance of liberty,” we “deserve our fate.”
Sexton added that the Obama administration isn’t the only political adversary facing conservatives. There is also increasing tension within the Republican Party itself.
“2014 is going to be a fight,” Sexton said simply, describing how voters will have to choose between the “moderate establishment candidate” and the “candidate who stands on Tea Party conservative principles.”
“Is 2014 the year people drop their allegiance to party?” Sexton asked. “Is this the year even those on the left realize that government has grown to dangerous and unprecedented levels of control? Is this the year people say enough is enough?”
“I sure hope so,” he concluded. “Because there’s only so much big government progressivism this country can withstand, and we are teetering close to the edge.”
