Cracker Barrel Announces Removal of Some Duck Dynasty Merchandise

“Cracker” Barrel…you’re name itself is offensive to me and the man, a black man, who started this chain is nothing but a racist. You have served good food, at times, and I have enjoyed looking through your gift shop but never again. If you care more about offending gays then you do about offending Christians, then you have effectively closed your door to me forever. And I’m not alone. In fact, I am so offended by your name that I just might need to sue you and force you to change your name. Isn’t that what we do now days? If a name is offensive, we demand it be changed? (Redskins) I have had it! You people on the left can kiss my ass. On second thought, stay the hell away from my ass….I have no idea what disease you carry. #liberalsofftheplanet

Restaurant chain Cracker Barrel posted Friday night on its Facebook page that it would no longer carry some Duck Dynasty merchandise after Phil Robertson, of the "Duck Commander" company and family, was suspended from the show.

The statement reads:

Cracker Barrel’s mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture.

We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores.

We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation.

We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so. [emphasis added]

Cable network A&E suspended Robertson Friday over comments made during a GQ interview which progressives have perceived as anti-gay. After Robertson's suspension, A&E and the pro-gay media watchdog GLAAD have faced an overwhelming backlash from the public, and the show's future is in doubt.
