Let's Put Christ Back In CHRISTian

Christmas. The time of year when the atheists and progressive socialists all come together in an all out assault on Christians and in particular, Christ. God has been so far removed from our culture and Christians have been far to silent in allowing it to happen. They scream louder and therefore get their way just to shut them up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, or in this case, gets God removed.

While people are busy talking about putting Christ back into CHRISTmas, I say it is time to put Christ back into CHRISTians. For far too long, we have sat back quietly and the result is a free Nation that is fast becoming socialist. It is time to stand strong and to begin shouting against anti-Godliness. And there are so many out there that only use the name of God for their own personal gain. They, in my opinion, are worse than those who openly hate Him. At least the ones who hate God have chosen a side and do so openly. People who use God are doing so with only one goal; to fill their pockets with money. That my friend is greed.

And I would like to point out that sitting in a pew once a week doesn't make you a Christian any more than sitting in a garage will make you a car. I don't want to hear Happy Holidays. I want to hear Merry Christmas. I don't want to have homosexuality shoved down my throat. I don't want socialism intruding upon my life. I do not care if people are offended by my worship of God! I am offended by gays and lesbians. I am offended by atheists. And I am offended by communism. Why aren't my feelings cared about as much as those who are offended by God?

What makes us Christian is more than just a belief in God and that Jesus is the son of God who died on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven when we repent. It is about standing for God and not hiding our light under a basket where it can't breathe and grow. Hiding your light makes it extinguish. 

God did not withhold His son from us so why should we withhold our love and respect from Him? We need to do more than offer Him lip service. We need to show Him that we love and respect Him and we do that by standing up against the tyranny. Christians still outnumber those who hate Him. Why are we being like the ants in the movie "A Bug's Life" and allowing the grasshoppers to rule over us? When they realized they were greater in number and that there is strength in those numbers, the grasshoppers didn't rule them anymore. 

So say Merry Christmas and say it a little louder this year. When you go out to eat, take a moment and bow your head to give a silent prayer of Thanks for your meal and your blessings. If someone seems offended, maybe leave your head bowed just a little longer. Say God Bless You more in public. If an employee at a store tells you Happy Holidays, respond with an emphatic Merry Christmas. And just whatever else you can think of to do. These jerks need to know and understand that if not for Christ, there would be no holiday for them to get stuff. It is time for them to sit down and shut up. It is time.
