Imprison those Code Pink creatures

Code Pink is a radical, left-wing group with a very long list of public demonstrations and assorted outrages.

The group’s latest atrocity took place on Jan. 29 at a hearing of the Senate Armed Forces Committee.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger – his right arm in a sling after he fractured his shoulder – was prepared to testify when a group of Code Pink protesters stood up, moved just behind the witness table and started chanting:

“Arrest Henry Kissinger for war crimes!”

The Washington Post published a photograph of the 91-year-old Kissinger with one of these extremists swinging a pair of handcuffs at his head. Another is carrying a large sign: “Kissinger War Criminal – CodePink.org.”

The Post reported:

“Capitol Hill police shooed them away after a minute, but activists kept at it.”

This demands the question: Why didn’t these Capitol Hill police arrest these disrupters immediately rather than merely “shooing them away after a minute,” which resulted in activists keeping at it?

Sen. John McCain declared from the chair:

“I’ve been a member of this committee for many years, and I’ve never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable as the last demonstration that took place.”

That only evoked shouts from these demonstrators – to which McCain responded as follows:

“You know, you’re going to have to shut up, or I’m going to have you arrested. If we can’t get the Capitol Hill police in here immediately – get out of here, you low-life scum!”

I very strongly suspect that most of the citizens of this beloved country of ours would enthusiastically second the senator’s “scum” statement – as I do most emphatically.

These Code Pink creatures need constant watching – and when they disturb the peace with their disruptions, they need to be arrested quickly, put on trial promptly and, if found guilty, immediately imprisoned.
