Cover Your Boobs In Public

We all remember the Time Magazine cover depicting a school aged boy still attached, literally, to his mother. Frankly, I found it to be disgusting and the ridicule this child will face in the coming near future from his peers could be devastating. Mom enough? Really? How about mom enough to let go. If you really feel the need to breastfeed, then have another child... you know... a BABY!

The reason I bring this up is because, recently, a "mother" in Texas (how dare she) has made the news after being told by an employee of a recreation center to please cover herself while breastfeeding. The woman, Lucy Eades, left and then came back with her husband on the other end of the video camera to do it again. This time to capture it all on video for the world to see.

Well Lucy, you also opened the door for commentary on your life. If you wish to place yourself in a position such as this, then put on your big girl panties and listen up. No one cares if you breastfeed in public. It is your right to do so. But what is wrong with using a blanket to be discreet? You know, breastfeeding is a very natural thing for a mom to do. However, so is going to the bathroom but you don't do it in public. You do it in private. Having your period is natural for a woman, but no one wants to see you take care of that business in public. Cover up!

Lucy's blog, The Eades Family, states that they “believe in home birthing, co-sleeping, baby wearing, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, non circumcising, and keeping our babies healthy & happy!”

Okay weirdo, that's fine, but can someone explain to me what "baby wearing" is? And "co-sleeping", I think, will only lead to co-dependency. But you go right ahead and spawn the next generation of kids who can't think for themselves and have no tolerance for anyone with a view different from their own. There are lots of things I don't like, but I don't whip out my camera for all the world to see. I don't want to become popular because I have no morals or integrity. Disgusting.... just disgusting.
