My Personal Apology To France

Monsieur le Président
de la République Palais de l'Elysée 55,
rue du faubourg
Saint-Honoré 75008 Paris

Monsieur le Président,

On behalf of my country, the United States of America, I would like to apologize to you and to France for the absence of our own President. There is no excuse to be given when the leader of a great nation refuses to show solidarity with one of our oldest allies.

I remember after September 11, 2001 when your Président Chirac was the first world leader to visit America and show us your support. As an American, that meant a lot to me. And now when it was our turn, we were not there for you.

While I certainly cannot speak for Mr. Obama, I can tell you that I, as well as millions of other Americans like myself, were with you and with France. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your Country. We pray that Islamic extremism is stamped out. It serves no other purpose but violence and death. We commend you and all the world leaders who marched for taking a stand and showing the terrorists that we stand solidly together against them and that they will not win. Every time someone gives in to a bully, the bully becomes bolder and stronger. The world sent a message that we will be bullied no more by these extremists.

Please know that not all Americans are like our current leader and his administration. We believe there are more important issues in the world than football and golf. I hope you accept my apology and my prayers. Our politics may not be the same, but the feelings of despair and mourning are. God be with you in your future endeavor against radical Islam.

Sincerely,

The Conservative Wife

  1. I don't remember any emissary from France joining any protests or marches in America when our equivalent of Charlie Hebdo, Hustler and Larry Flynt Publications, had its owner stricken and paralyzed by a bullet. While marching for Charlie Hebdo's right to publish cartoons of Jesus Christ getting head from his mother the Virgin Mary or a Mohammed cartoon is free speech, special trips to celebrate their work seems stupid and pointless.

    1. I never said I agreed with anything Charlie Hebdo did. If you want to call Joseph Franklin a terrorist for shooting Larry Flynt, then by all means. I call him a wacked out white supremacist who killed several others as well. But he wasn't a muslim killing for "precious allah". This march was about standing against muslim terrorists and the world's leaders stood in unity...everyone but Obama. He told us what he would do... some promises he does keep. Page 261 or thereabouts of his book "audacity of hope". "I will stand with the muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." He did just that and has done just that.
