(DAILYCALLER) — One day after the latest cover of Charlie Hebdo was unveiled, CNN and MSNBC have announced they will not show the cover on air, with the Turner network saying it was due to “potentially offensive images of the prophet.”
Both news organizations made their announcements during the 9 am hour, with hosts Carol Costello (CNN) and Jose Diaz-Balart (MSNBC) telling their viewers of each network’s respective decision.
“CNN will not show you the new cover, which depicts the Prophet Muhammad, because it is our policy not to show potentially offensive images of the prophet,” Costello said.
