How can anyone call this an “oversight”? It is obvious that Obama does not care about the interests of Americans and holds nothing but contempt for Christians. At least Jimmy Carter “attempted” to free the hostages in Iran. This jack hole we have now didn’t even bother to mention that they are holding an AMERICAN CITIZEN in prison there. Let’s just call it what it is. Obama carries a deep and abiding hatred for American, Conservative Christians and he will not lift a stinking finger to aid anyone he considers the enemy.

As the Obama administration touts the deal reached on Iran’s nuclear program, critics are unhappy over what they see as a huge oversight.

Saeed Abedini, who has been imprisoned in Iran since last year on charges relating to his Christian faith, was completely left out the deal, CNN reports. He faces eight years in prison.

Abedini’s family hoped the nuclear negotiations would include the American’s potential release.

“There are also two other Americans detained in Iran, but the negotiations made no mention of anyone’s release,” the CNN report adds.

Pushing back hard, President Barack Obama forcefully defended the temporary agreement to freeze Iran’s disputed nuclear program on Monday, declaring that the United States “cannot close the door on diplomacy.”

The president’s remarks followed skepticism of the historic accord expressed by some U.S. allies abroad as well as by members of Congress at home, including fellow Democrats. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one of the fiercest opponents of the six-month deal, called it a “historic mistake” and announced he would be dispatching a top envoy to Washington to try to toughen the final agreement negotiators will soon begin hammering out.

Obama, without naming names, swiped at those who have questioned the wisdom of engaging with Iran.

“Tough talk and bluster may be the easy thing to do politically, but it’s not the right thing to do for our security,” he said during an event in San Francisco.

The weekend agreement between Iran and six world powers – the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – is to temporarily halt parts of Tehran’s disputed nuclear program and allow for more intrusive international monitoring. In exchange, Iran gains some modest relief from stiff economic sanctions and a pledge from Obama that no new penalties will be levied during the six months.

Despite the fanfare surrounding the agreement, administration officials say key technical details on the inspections and sanctions relief must still be worked out before it formally takes effect. Those talks will tackle the toughest issues that have long divided Iran and the West, including whether Tehran will be allowed to enrich uranium at a low level.

Iran insists it has a right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, and many nuclear analysts say a final deal will almost certainly leave Iran with some right to enrich. However, that’s sure to spark more discord with Israel and many lawmakers who insist Tehran be stripped of all enrichment capabilities. British Foreign Secretary William Hague said he expects the deal to be fully implemented by the end of January.

South Carolina resident David Adam Pate, 24, is accused of murdering his friend and leaving his body in the woods for neighborhood children to find.

And his mugshot is horrifying enough to match the heinous crime.

Pate can be seen slightly smirking while sticking out his forked tongue, which was reportedly surgically split. He also has several tattoos on his face, including “SATAN” over one eye and the numbers “974″ on his neck to reference the street gang Gangster Disciples.

Police believe Pate took his friend, Ricky W. James, 33, into the woods near Lancaster, S.C., and killed him, WBTV reports. Playing children later found the decomposing body that had been covered with brush.

Investigators suspected Pate in the killing immediately, however, they had to wait for lab results in order to formally charge his as a murder suspect. He was reportedly already in jail for disorderly conduct as police built their case against him.

He was charged with Murder on Friday.

“We are thankful he is in jail where he belongs,” Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile said.

Obamacare website officials rushed to hire a contractor they knew and failed to seek competing bids, according to government procurement documents reviewed by Reuters.

The challenges of building the financial-management and accounting elements of the Obamacare site in particular became a problem for the officials who were “caught flat-footed” over the scope of the job, the Reuters report stated.

The documents dated in August – less than two months before the opening of online marketplaces established by President Barack Obama’s landmark healthcare law – showed the agency in charge had only “recently learned” that building the financial management functions was “beyond (its) currently available resources.”

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) documents shed more light on the problems facing the agency as it worked on the marketplaces established by the law commonly called Obamacare and on its revelation this week that at least 30 percent of the marketplace is still being built.

Reuters noted emails and outside reports released by congressional oversight investigators that “paint an administration scrambling to meet the technological challenges of the marketplace – and usually failing to do so.”

CMS spokeswoman Joanne Peters said Friday and Saturday that agency officials weren’t available to comment on the contract or an ETA for the completion date of the website’s financial management element, Reuters noted.

CMS said in a “justification and approval” document that the “prospect of a delay…even for a few days, would result in severe consequences, financial and other” played into the rush to finish the job and lack of competition for the contract, Reuters reported.

The contract, valued at nearly $12 million, was awarded on Aug. 9 to Novitas Solutions, according to the documents. Novitas has numerous contracts with CMS, including to administer doctor and hospital claims in the federal Medicare program for elderly Americans.

The problem-plagued HealthCare.gov is being worked on by contractors racing to fix it by the end of November so that people can enroll in insurance plans for 2014 under the 2010 Affordable Care Act. The law aims to provide health care insurance to millions of uninsured people.

Suburban moms are hitting back at Education Secretary Arne Duncan after his recent comments about who’s opposed to Common Core standards, in one case highlighting a book in President Barack Obama and Duncan’s home state.

A book about Obama available to fourth-graders has sparked controversy, with parents citing a passage they believe implies opposition to the president is based entirely on his race.

While an Illinois school administrator said the book is not part of the school curriculum, it has drawn intense criticism on Facebook and elsewhere, primarily in the midst of the debate over the controversial Common Core education standards.

The Facebook page “Moms Against Duncan” was launched after Duncan specifically named “white suburban moms” as main opponents of Common Core, which is backed by the Obama administration and teachers unions.

The controversy around the book “Barack Obama,” written by Jane Sutcliffe and published by Lerner, mostly surrounded the following paragraph: “But some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president. Other angry voices were raised. Barack’s former pastor called the country a failure. God would damn the United States for mistreating its black citizens, he said.”

The website Illinois Review said: “The Bluffview Elementary students were told the book’s content would be tested for grades. That brought outrage among parents just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, one of the ‘MAD’ moms reported.”

But St. Clair County Regional Superintendent Susan Safarty told TheBlaze that’s not the case, saying the book is optional reading from the library and not part of classwork.

“It is a library book, not a textbook, that’s all I know,” Safarty said. “It is not part of the curriculum.”

She said the book is not a concern at the local level.

“I’m not familiar with the book,” Safarty said. “I have not heard from parents. This is the first I have heard anything about this.”

When TheBlaze asked about the controversial paragraph in the book, Safarty responded, “I will not comment on the contents of the book or whether it should be in the library.”

Just Take a Second to Look at the Diaper-Wearing Goat Cops Came Across in Jose Conseco’s Car After Pulling Him Over

On Wednesday, former baseball player turned author and reality TV star Jose Canseco was driving in Nevada, reportedly en route to shoot a documentary about fainting goats, when the police pulled him over. The officer was probably surprised to find Canseco and his girlfriend — model Leila Knight –riding with two goats in the back of their car — and one of the four-legged creatures was wearing a diaper.

Canseco and Knight both tweeted the photo and reported that the cop “laughed at our poor goats”:

Jose’s Twitter feed also teased the documentary and urged people to visit his and Leila’s YouTube channel for a preview:

TheBlaze visited the couple’s YouTube channel in hopes of catching a glimpse of the goats and possibly the traffic stop that involved them. Unfortunately, it appears that those clips may have been deleted. Despite being promoted by Canseco and linked on his Twitter feed on November 20, the latest two clips on the channel are no longer available. In fact, the earliest clip that can be seen is from July of this year:

Until the fainting goat documentary is finished or clips are posted online, Jose Canseco fans will have to be satisfied by following his Twitter feed or looking at some of his classic tweets. If the votes passes, it will alter nearly 225 years of precedent, the Washington Post notes.

After Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reportedly called Israel a “rabid dog” during a defiant speech on Wednesday, the Twitter account associated with the senior Iranian cleric reiterated the slur Thursday morning and to emphasize the point included a photo of Israel Defense Forces soldiers along with a dog and what appears to be a Palestinian woman.

Iran experts believe the Twitter feed is managed by Khamenei’s office.

Though news agencies reported that Khamenei called Israel a “rabid dog” during the speech, Al-Monitor Iran Pulse Editor Arash Karami wrote that Khamenei was referring specifically to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the “unclean rabid dog.”

Characterizing Khamenei’s words as “harsher language than usual,” Iran watcher Karami posted this translation for the controversial quote, “Is the Islamic system after a war with others?” asked Khamenei. “Sometimes this is heard from the enemies of Iran, such as from the sinister mouth of the unclean rabid dog of the region in the Zionist regime,” he said, referring to Israeli’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, per Karami.

Khamenei appeared to threaten Israel’s existence which Iranian officials have in the past articulated, saying, “The Zionist regime is an imposed regime, and whatever comes out of force is not durable and this regime will not endure.”

“The Iranians deny our past and repeat their commitment to wipe the State of Israel off the map. This reminds us of the dark regimes of the past that plotted against us first and then against all of humanity,” Netanyahu said on Thursday during a visit to Moscow.

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman on Thursday reacted to Khamenei’s words, saying he is “someone who uses the words of Goebbels and Hitler when talking about the Jews.”

The speech has shown that Iran “certainly does not aim to acquire nuclear power for peaceful purposes,” Liberman said according to the Times of Israel.

Iran Wire reported that Khamenei stressed in his speech that Israeli leaders should not be called human. Besides the rabid dog comparison, Khamenei described the Israeli leadership as “savages” and “religiously unclean.”

During his speech delivered to 50,000 Basij volunteer militiamen, Khamenei also lashed out at the U.S., which he called the “leader of the arrogance.”

According to Ali Alfoneh, a senior fellow at the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Khamenei compared the U.S. to a different animal – not a dog – employing the phrase “camel-like American vengeance.”

The crowd was heard repeatedly chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,”  as Khamenei blasted the U.S. for transgressions ranging from slavery to the Abu Ghraib prison scandal to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

He even weighed in on the U.S. government shutdown. “Rather than military threats, go repair your ruined economy, do something so your government is not shut down for fifteen to sixteen days. Go repay your debts and think of bringing order in your economic affairs,” he said.

BuzzFeed reported on Wednesday that a senior U.S. administration official would say only that Khamenei’s “rabid dog” diatribe was “uncomfortable”  but did not go so far as to condemn it as  unacceptable, as the French did.

“Of course I don’t ever like it when people use rhetoric that in any way talks about the U.S. in ways that I find very uncomfortable and not warranted whatsoever,” the official told reporters on the sidelines of negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program in Geneva (see related post on TheBlaze blog).

Israeli Foreign Minister Liberman on Thursday called on Western negotiators to “pay attention” to Khamenei’s words.

”The speech by Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, is the true face of the Iranian regime, not the false representation that [Iranian President Hassan] Rouhani and his people are showing the world,” Liberman said.

Despite the soft American response to the Iranian rhetoric, Iran analyst Alfoneh wrote, “His speech, in fact, casts a shadow over the Geneva talks.”

“Khamenei’s speech bodes poorly for the deal Western governments may strike in Geneva. If they remain focused on the softer words of Rouhani and foreign minister Javad Zarif, they do so to their own detriment. Ignoring Khamenei’s jarring display of defiance will haunt the West when it is Tehran’s turn to deliver on its promises and implement the Geneva agreement,” Alfoneh wrote.

Providing further evidence of the strain in relations with the Obama administration over Iran’s nuclear program and peace talks with the Palestinians, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman has said Israel needs to look for other allies besides the U.S.

Asked about U.S.-Israel relations at an academic conference in Sderot, Israel on Wednesday, Liberman said, “The link between Israel and its main strategic partner the United States has weakened.”

“Israel’s foreign policy for many years went in one direction toward Washington, but my policy has more directions,” Liberman said according to the Jerusalem Post.

“There are enough countries that we can be a help to and therefore our foreign policy must be to search for allies,” the foreign minister said. “The Americans have a lot of problems and challenges around the world that they need to solve and they have problems at home. We need to understand them and our place in the global arena.”

“We need to stop demanding, complaining, moaning and instead seek countries that are not dependent on money from the Arab or Islamic world and who want to cooperate with us in the field of innovation,” Liberman further said according to the French News Agency AFP.

“It’s naive to think that countries will help us because of altruism,” Liberman added.

Tension between Washington and Jerusalem has been high as the Obama administration is reported to be willing to accept a sanctions-easing interim deal with Iran that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called “bad and dangerous.”

Israel is not the only country in the region to feel a cooling in relations with the U.S. After the Obama administration announced it was partially suspending military aid to Egypt following the ousting of Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohammed Morsi, Russia has reportedly been discussing a major arms deal with the North African nation.

Secretary of State John Kerry further miffed Israelis earlier this month by meting out harsh criticism of the construction of Jewish housing in West Bank settlements during an Israeli television interview. In the interview, Kerry also warned of a “third Intifada” (Palestinian uprising) and of the potential for increased international pressure to boycott Israel, suggesting Israel needs to make painful concessions to the Palestinians.

One Israeli government official speaking anonymously to Channel 2 called Kerry’s words “intimidation tactics.”

In his Wednesday talk, Liberman slammed those calling on Israel to make “painful concessions,” saying those demands “come from people who don’t know the history or the facts.”

“Settlements weren’t an obstacle for peace with Egypt or Jordan. On the other hand, we evacuated settlements in Gaza and got [rocket] fire. Historically, there is no connection between settlements and peace agreements,” he said.

Labor Party Member of Knesset Nachman Shai accused Liberman of “throwing out the baby with the bathwater.”

“Public arguments with the U.S. happened in the past, but there is no other country on earth with such a broad common denominator with Israel or that is so important to us,” Shai said according to the Jerusalem Post. “The U.S. stands next to Israel in dozens of incidents and issues every day and is our safest defensive shield.”

The foreign minister returned to his position last week after being cleared of corruption charges.

Obamacare Official Admits Something So Incredible You’ll Wonder Why You’re Just Now Hearing About It

A large portion of the error-riddled, multimillion dollar federal health insurance exchange system has not even been built yet, according to a senior official involved in the construction of the website.

The revelation came Tuesday during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on the possible security risks surrounding healthcare.gov.

“The committee’s been reviewing materials that indicate that some parts of healthcare.gov were not completed before the launch, as we’ve discussed here,” Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) said. “What portion of the website remained to be created when you launched on October 1st?”

“I don’t have an exact percentage,” said Henry Chao, deputy chief information officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. “I look at it in terms of overall marketplace systems.”

“I think it was a set of priority functions that needed to be in place,” Chao added.

“Well, how much do we have to build today?” Gardner pressed.

“Just an approximation, we’re probably sitting somewhere between 60 and 70 percent,” Chao said.

“Sixty to 70 percent that needs to be built still?” Gardner said.

“We still have to build the payment systems to make payments to issuers in January,” the Obamacare official said before adding, “the online application, verification, determination, plan compare, getting enrolled, generating enrollment transaction – that’s 100 percent there.”

“But the entire system is 60 to 70 percent away from being complete,” Gardner said.

“There’s the back office systems, the accounting systems, the payment systems … they still need to be done,” Chao said.

Chao, not disputing the figure, said the 60 to 70 percent that has yet to be built would be tested “in the exact same manner we tested everything else.”

But here’s something: Later in the hearing, Chao referred to the remaining 30 to 40 percent of the system that has yet to be built.

Perhaps he flipped the percentages in his head? This would seem strange considering Gardner repeatedly pressed him on the 70 percent figure.

“(R)egardless of the exact number, Chao’s response is utterly devastating,” Townhall’s Guy Benson wrote. “Somewhere between 30 and 70 percent of Obamacare’s online system has not yet been constructed or tested. They’ve had over three years.”

If These Claims by ‘Reliable Sources’ Are Proven True, the Obama Administration Will Be Dealing With Another Huge Scandal

The U.S. government in the final months leading up to the 2012 presidential election released “faked” unemployment data, according to a bombshell report from the New York Post.

Recall that the unemployment rate from August to September dropped precipitously to 7.8 percent from 8.1 percent. This raised suspicion among certain members of the business community, most notably former General Electric CEO Jack Welch.

“Unbelievable jobs numbers,” Welch said in an Oct. 5 tweet, “these Chicago guys will do anything…can’t debate so change numbers.”

He was quickly attacked by cable news pundits and branded by one group as an “unemployment-rate truther.”

However, Welch’s skepticism towards the September 2012 jobs report may not have been that far-fetched.

The September 2012 job numbers were “manipulated” and the the U.S. Census Bureau, the government agency responsible for the report, knew it, the Post alleges, citing “reliable sources.”

The Post’s anonymous source, who said he’s willing to speak to the Labor Department and Congress about the falsified data if asked to do so, said unemployment data manipulation, which continues to this day, involves more than just one rogue employee.

In fact, a full two years before President Barack Obama won a second term in the White House, the Census Bureau reportedly caught an employee manipulating unemployment data. However, the Post notes, instead of correcting the problem, it only got worse and escalated throughout the 2012 presidential election.

The employee who was caught two years ago, one Julius Buckmon, told the Post in an interview that he “faked” the numbers at the direction of his supervisors.

The Post’s John Crudele explains how Buckmon allegedly manipulated the data:

Ironically, it was Labor’s demanding standards that left the door open to manipulation.

Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews — meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status.

Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.

So how did Philadelphia fill the gap? With fake interviews, Buckmon said.

“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” he said.

The Census Bureau interviews roughly 60,000 households (each household representing 5,000 homes in the U.S.) and uses the collected data to tabulate the unemployment rate.

Buckmon, however, apparently conducted three times as many interviews than he needed, according to the Post.

“By making up survey results — and, essentially, creating people out of thin air and giving them jobs — Buckmon’s actions could have lowered the jobless rate,” Crudele reports.

“Buckmon said he filled out surveys for people he couldn’t reach by phone or who didn’t answer their doors,” he adds.

The Census Bureau employee, for his part, said he never answered the part of the survey that asks if the respondent is “employed or not, looking for work, or have given up.”

But by making up nonexistent people, Buckmon theoretically could have influenced the final number of persons employed in the U.S. It’s important to note that the Post’s anonymous source — not Buckmon — was supposedly involved in the September 2012 jobs report.

Amazingly enough, the Census Bureau never disclosed this information and apparently never informed the Labor Department of the manipulated data.

“Yes, absolutely they should have told us,” a Labor spokesman told the Post. “It would be normal procedure to notify us if there is a problem with data collection.”

There are reportedly at least a dozen separate reports of falsified data. Buckmon’s “not the only one,” the Post’s anonymous source said.

A spokesperson for the Census Bureau did not immediately return TheBlaze’s request for comment.
