New Defense secretary open to transgender troops

Obama wants a military force that no one is afraid of. When I was in the service, not that long ago, this crap was NOT allowed. We have gone from Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, to Say It Loud And Be Praised….. It just makes me sick…

(THE HILL) — New Defense Secretary Ashton Carter on Sunday signaled that he is open to transgender people serving in the military, saying their sexual identity should not “preclude” them from contributing to the armed services.

“[W]e want to make our conditions and experience of service as attractive as possible to our best people in our country. And I’m very open-minded about — otherwise about what their personal lives and proclivities are, provided they can do what we need them to do for us. That’s the important criteria,” Carter said during a town hall event in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

“I don’t think anything but their suitability for service should preclude them,” he added.

Terrorists threaten famous American mall

Al-Shabab-mall-of-america-600

Going to the mall could be getting more dangerous as an Islamic terror group tied to al-Qaida is appearing to threaten attacks on the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, as well as other popular shopping centers in Canada and Britain.

An hour-long video purportedly released by Somali Islamic militants al-Shabaab specifically names the Mall of America, the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta and London’s Oxford Street.

A masked man is seen in the video mentioning the Mall of America, along with a photograph of the shopping center and its GPS coordinates.

Officials at the Minnesota location are now beefing up security.

“Mall of America is aware of a video that was recently released which included a mention and images of the mall,” said a statement issued by the mall Saturday. “We will continue to monitor events with the help of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.

“As always, we take any potential threat seriously and respond appropriately. Mall of America has implemented extra security precautions, some may be noticeable to guests, and others won’t be. We will continue to follow the situation, along with law enforcement, and will remain vigilant as we always do in similar situations. The safety and security of our guests, employees and tenants remains our top priority.”

In 2013, al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for an attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

The four-day siege there resulted in more than 60 deaths.

The new video posted on Twitter Saturday shows six minutes of graphic images celebrating the Westgate Mall attack.

The masked man wearing a camouflage jacket in the video asks: “If just a handful of mujahedeen fighters could bring Kenya to a complete standstill for nearly a week then imagine what a dedicated mujahedeen in the West could do to the American or Jewish-owned shopping centers across the world?”

“What if such an attack were to occur in the Mall of America in Minnesota? Or the West Edmonton Mall in Canada? Or in London’s Oxford Street? … What would be the implications of such an attack? One could only imagine. And all it takes is a man with firm determination … so hurry up, hasten towards heaven and do not hesitate.”

Two days ago, al-Shabaab claimed it was responsible for suicide attacks at a hotel in Somalia’s capital of Mogadishu, killing 25 and wounding 40 others.

According to KMSP-TV in Minneapolis, local Somali leaders have been worried about the recruitment of their youth for some time.

“In recent years, more than two dozen men have left to fight with al-Shabaab in Somalia. And in recent months, multiple Minnesota teens have been arrested for alleged connections with terror groups like ISIS,” the Fox affiliate reported.

“This is gonna happen,” Omar Jamal, CEO of American Friends of Somalis, told KMSP. “The question is where it’s going to happen and when it is going to happen. That’s why we need people to be informed about this.”

Watch KMSP-TV’s coverage of the threat:

Jim Kallstrom, the former assistant director of the FBI’s New York office, said the FBI has a “huge job in front of them.

“You look at the Mall of America, you look at all the malls then you start to backtrack and say you know it would be nice if we knew what comes and goes into the country,” Kallstrom told Fox News on Sunday. “We don’t have a clue.”

The Department of Homeland Security and FBI issued a joint statement Sunday indicating both agencies were aware of the video.

“In recent months, the FBI and DHS have worked closely with our state and local public safety counterparts and members of the private sector, to include mall owners and operators, to prevent and mitigate these types of threats,” the statement read.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” that “there needs to be an awareness.”

“We’re in a new phase now, and I’m afraid that this most recent video release reflects that,” Johnson said during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”

White House summit opens with only Muslim prayer

This should be a surprise to absolutely no one. He is a Muslime pig! Sorry to the pigs…

(CNSNews) A Muslim prayer was recited at the start of the second day of the White House summit on “Countering Violent Extremism,” but no other religious text was presented during the portion of the event that was open to the press.

Imam Sheikh Sa’ad Musse Roble, president of the World Peace Organization in Minneapolis, Minn., recited a “verse from the Quran” following remarks by Obama administration officials and Democratic members of Congress.

Obama rules force Christian charities to offer abortions to refugees

christian_cross

A new set of rules soon to be issued by the Obama administration would require faith-based charities to provide abortions to child refugees entering the U.S. without their parents.

Organizations working to help resettle the children contend the rules are a violation of the conscience rights of faith-based groups and a contravention of the rights of parents.

The rules would require charitable organizations, including faith-based groups that help resettle refugee children, to make referrals for emergency contraception or to partner with groups that provide abortions. The groups also have the option of notifying the federal government, which would then make arrangements for abortions.

Failure to follow the rules means the groups would no longer be eligible for federal aid. They must comply no later than June 24.

The new rules are being fast-tracked in what some are calling elusive methods.

The Center for Family and Human Rights, or C-Fam, notes the public has until Monday to comment on the new rules, which were issued on Christmas Eve.

“The administration says it would be ‘contrary to the public interest’ to wait ‘until a public notice and comment process is complete,’” writes Dr. Susan Yoshihara. “The administration also asserts that no congressional review is required and that there is no issue with federalism or any impact on families in the new guidance.”

Kristi Burton Brown at Live Action News said the rules have been purposely fast-tracked to avoid sustained public objection.

The new regulations are collectively titled, “Implementation of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) Provisions of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013.”

“That’s not exactly a title that would advise the average citizen that Christian organizations will be forced to participate in abortions or lose their federal funding,” Brown writes.

The Obama administration asserts that no congressional review is required and that there is no issue with federalism or any impact on families in the new guidance.

However, Brown wrote, “It’s likely that a number of Christian relief organizations that work with child refugees will rightly refuse to comply. When they do this, they will lose their federal funding, and this will diminish their potential to serve vulnerable, innocent children who come to this country with great needs.”

In addition to providing abortion services, the rules “requires all care provider facility staff who may have contact with UCs [unaccompanied children] to receive training on, among other things, cultural sensitivity and effectively communicating with UCs who are LGBTQI [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, or intersex].”

The document defines gender as “the attitudes, feelings, and behaviors that a given culture associates with a person’s biological sex.” Gender identity is defined as “one’s sense of oneself as male, female, or transgender.” Gender nonconforming means “a person whose appearance or manner does not conform to traditional societal gender expectations.”

The rules require “care provider facilities to train youth care worker staff in the proper procedure for conducting pat-down searches, including cross-gender pat-down searches as well as searches of transgender and intersex UCs in a professional and respectful manner.”

To help care workers identify a child’s sex, the rules advise, “There are a number of indicators of biological sex, including sex chromosomes, gonads, internal reproductive organs, and external genitalia.”

Although several human rights instruments require nations to protect children against predatory adults, a 2013 UNICEF report claims children as young as 10 have the “right” to confidential sex services.

C-Fam reports, “In 2009 the committee that monitors the Children’s treaty began interpreting it such that children must have access ‘without parental consent’ to ‘reproductive health education or services,’ a term often used by U.N. staff to include abortion.”

Public commentary can be submitted at a link provided by the government. Deadline for public input is Monday at 11:59 p.m. EST.

U.S. president: 'No book deserves to be so studied as the Bible'

John Quincy Adams

John Quincy Adams

On Feb. 21, 1848, “Old Man Eloquent” John Quincy Adams suffered a stroke at his desk in the House chamber.

He had just given an impassioned speech against the Democrat plan to expand slavery into the Western territories acquired after the Mexican-American War.

He died 2 days later without regaining consciousness.

A bronze marker on the U.S. House floor indicates where Adams’ desk once stood.

John Quincy Adams was the only U.S president to serve in Congress after having been president, being elected a U.S Representative from Massachusetts, 1830-48.

Nicknamed “The Hell-Hound of Slavery” for relentlessly speaking out against slavery, John Quincy Adams single-handedly led the fight to lift the gag rule that prohibited discussion of slavery on the House floor.

In 1841, John Quincy Adams defended 53 Africans accused of mutiny aboard the slave ship Amistad. He won their case before the Supreme Court, giving them back their freedom, stating: “The moment you come to the Declaration of Independence, that every man has a right to life and liberty, an inalienable right, this case is decided. I ask nothing more in behalf of these unfortunate men than this Declaration.”

African slaves brought to America were purchased at Muslim slave markets, where over Islam’s centuries of history an estimated 180 million were enslaved.

The annotated “John Quincy Adams: A Bibliography,” compiled by Lynn H. Parsons (Westport, CT, 1993, p. 41, entry#194), contains “Unsigned essays dealing with the Russo-Turkish War and on Greece,” (The American Annual Register for 1827-28-29 (NY: 1830): “The natural hatred of the Mussulmen towards the infidels is in just accordance with the precepts of the Koran. … The fundamental doctrine of the Christian religion is the extirpation of hatred from the human heart. It forbids the exercise of it, even towards enemies. … In the 7th century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab … spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. … He declared undistinguishing and exterminating war as a part of his religion. … The essence of his doctrine was violence and lust, to exalt the brutal over the spiritual part of human nature.”

During his career, John Quincy Adams also served as: U.S. minister to Russia; U.S. minister to Prussia; U.S. minister to the Netherlands; U.S. minister to Great Britain, where he negotiated the end of the War of 1812; and U.S. secretary of State, where he negotiated obtaining Florida from Spain.

On Sept. 26, 1810, John Quincy Adams wrote in his diary: “I have made it a practice for several years to read the Bible through in the course of every year. I usually devote to this reading the first hour after I rise every morning. … I have this morning commenced it anew … this time with Ostervald’s French translation.”

In September of 1811, John Quincy Adams wrote to his son from St. Petersburg, Russia: “My dear Son … You mentioned that you read to your aunt a chapter in the Bible or a section of Doddridge’s Annotations every evening. This information gave me real pleasure; for so great is my veneration for the Bible. … It is of all books in the world, that which contributes most to make men good, wise, and happy. … My custom is, to read four to five chapters every morning immediately after rising from my bed. … It is essential, my son … that you should form and adopt certain rules … of your own conduct. … It is in the Bible, you must learn them. … ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength, and thy neighbor as thy self.’ On these two commandments, Jesus Christ expressly says, ‘hang all the law and the prophets.’”

John Quincy Adams’ correspondence to his son is compiled in “Letters of John Quincy Adams to His Son, on the Bible and Its Teachings,” which contains his statement: “No book in the world deserves to be so unceasingly studied, and so profoundly meditated upon as the Bible.”

On March 13, 1812, John Quincy Adams noted: “This morning I finished the perusal of the German Bible.”

After negotiating the Treaty of Ghent, John Quincy Adams wrote from London, December 24, 1814: “You ask me what Bible I take as the standard of my faith – the Hebrew, the Samaritan, the old English translation, or what? I answer, the Bible containing the Sermon on the Mount. … The New Testament I have repeatedly read in the original Greek, in the Latin, in the Geneva Protestant, in Sacy’s Catholic French translations, in Luther’s German translation, in the common English Protestant, and in the Douay Catholic translations. I take any one of them for my standard of faith.”

On Dec. 31, 1825, John Quincy Adams wrote in his diary: “I rise usually between five and six. … I walk by the light of the moon or stars, or none, about four miles, usually returning home. … I then make my fire, and read three chapters of the Bible.”

Poet Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote concerning John Quincy Adams: “No man could read the Bible with such powerful effect, even with the cracked and winded voice of old age.”

John Quincy Adams wrote: “I speak as a man of the world to men of the world; and I say to you, Search the Scriptures! The Bible is the book of all others … not to be read once or twice or thrice through, and then laid aside, but to be read in small portions of one or two chapters every day.”

At the age of 77, John Quincy Adams was vice-president of the American Bible Society, where he stated, Feb. 27, 1844: “I deem myself fortunate in having the opportunity, at a stage of a long life drawing rapidly to its close, to bear at … the capital of our National Union … my solemn testimonial of reverence and gratitude to that book of books, the Holy Bible. The Bible carries with it the history of the creation, the fall and redemption of man, and discloses to him, in the infant born at Bethlehem, the Legislator and Saviour of the world.”

John Quincy Adams stated in his Presidential Inaugural Address, March 4, 1825: “‘Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain,’ with fervent supplications for His favor, to His overruling providence I commit with humble but fearless confidence my own fate and the future destinies of my country.”

Obama and the Muslim gang sign

(American Thinker) — Is President Obama a Muslim? A lot has been written about this, but if photographs speak louder than words, then a photo taken at last August’s U.S.-African Leaders’ Summit in Washington D.C. might shed considerable light.

It shows Barack Hussein Obama flashing the one-finger affirmation of Islamic faith to dozens of African delegates.

The Associated Press took this astonishing photo as the African dignitaries joined Obama, who hosted the event, in a State Department auditorium for a group photograph. It was published in an article in Britain’s Daily Mail, and it was the only use ever of the photo.

Report: Obama hustling 'full-throttle' to set up amnesty contracts

immigration-protest

The Obama administration is hustling to move quickly on contracts for the president’s executive-memo-driven amnesty program even though a federal judge has ordered Washington bureaucrats to stop in their tracks, according to Judicial Watch.

The Washington watchdog organization said Friday it has a source inside the industry of government contracts who said there is “no indication that the court order has impacted, slowed down or modified the procurement in any way.”

“They’re really rushing into it,” the source said.

Judicial Watch cited a government solicitation for companies to provide services for Obama’s plans to process illegal aliens and give them many of the privileges of citizenship.

The deal is immense, Judicial Watch said, with an estimated need for between 200 and 600 contractors.

WND broke the story this week that U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Texas granted a preliminary injunction that prevents the government from enforcing Obama’s orders. Hanen confirmed WND’s exclusive report that contrary to popular perception, the order to delay deportation was not an executive order by the president. Instead, it was a memorandum issued by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson at Obama’s direction.

The government solicitation describes itself as a “combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.”

“This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. Attached to this combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services is a request for proposal with proposals due on February 20, 2015. This combined synopsis/solicitation is for records support services in support of deferred action for parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (hereafter referred to as DAPA). Industry is encouraged to review the request for proposal and ask questions by January 30, 2015. USCIS intends to award a contract from this solicitation in March 2015 in order to provide the awardee time to hire, train, and process security clearances; and for full performance to commence on May 19, 2015.”

It describes how Obama announced his intent for executive action on deferred action for parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents on Nov. 20, 2014.

And it says the resulting workload “will be driven by the filing of a newly created Form I-821P, Request for Consideration of Deferred Action for a Parent of a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.”

“Requestors will be required to concurrently file with their Form I-821P a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization and a Form I-765 Worksheet. Requestors may also file for advanced parole using Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. The population of potential requestors who may be considered for deferred action consistent with the guidelines announced by the Secretary is expected to be approximately four million people.”

But it doesn’t reference the judge’s order to stop such actions.

Judicial Watch said that though a federal court “has blocked President Obama’s amnesty order, the administration continues working behind the scenes to quickly award multi-million-dollar contracts to firms that can expeditiously process millions of illegal immigrants, a government source has alerted Judicial Watch.”

“The complex deal is being rushed through at a ‘full-throttle pace’ extremely rare for such a huge venture that’s sure to radically change the current system, according to JW’s source, who has worked for decades as a contract expert at the highest levels of government.

“The pricing spreadsheets are astounding and list tens of thousands of work hours – for tasks such as program management, file operations and maintenance as well as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) scanning – that will undoubtedly end up costing American taxpayers enormous sums. The contractor that lands this monstrous government deal must also be able to respond on short notice to growth in volume due to urgent events and requirements,” JW reported.

The government documents states that the “growth is more than normal overtime and cannot be completed with overtime.”

Judicial Watch said the administration “appears to have no intention of slowing down while the Justice Department drafts an appeal.”

“JW’s government source confirms that, even after the court ruling, DHS is moving forward with its plan to seal large contracts with companies that will process millions of illegal immigrants as soon as possible,” the report said.

The Texas judge ruled that Obama violated the Administrative Procedures Act in imposing his new laws.

The constitutionality of Obama’s de facto amnesty, however, remains unresolved.

Attorney Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, who is representing Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio in a case that raised the same issues, says he hopes the ruling will come in his case.

The Arpaio case, filed in Washington earlier, was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell, who thought the dispute over whether a president can arbitrarily change federal laws was a political matter between branches of government.

The case now is pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the government’s arguments are due in about two weeks on an accelerated scheduled imposed by the court.

An analysis of the Texas ruling by David Ingram and Mica Rosenberg published by Reuters noted that it specifically “avoided diving into sweeping constitutional questions or tackling presidential powers head-on.”

“In the near term, the narrow approach allowed [the judge] to issue a temporary injunction barring federal agencies from putting Obama’s plans into place. … [His] ruling turned on the Administrative Procedure Act’s requirement that a proposed rule or regulation appear in the Federal Register so people have a chance to comment.”

In granting the injunction to the 26 states, led by Texas, that brought the lawsuit, the ruling made clear that the DHS memorandum signed by Johnson was unconstitutional.

DHS does not have the authority to defer the deportation of more than 4 million foreigners who entered the U.S. illegally or overstayed their visas, the judge said.

“The DHS was not given any ‘discretion by law’ to give 4.3 million removable aliens what the DHS itself labels as ‘legal presence,’” Hanen concluded.

Obama himself has stated repeatedly that he does not have the authority to do what he did.

House Speaker John Boehner has listed online 22 times when Obama has made such statements.

For example, in October 2010, Obama said: “I am president, I am not king. I can’t do these things just by myself. … I’ve got to have some partners to do it. … If Congress has laws on the books that says that people who are here who are not documented have to be deported, then I can exercise some flexibility in terms of where we deploy our resources, to focus on people who are really causing problems as opposed to families who are just trying to work and support themselves. But there’s a limit to the discretion that I can show because I am obliged to execute the law. … I can’t just make the laws up by myself.”

WND also reported earlier when yet another a federal judge in Pennsylvania declared the amnesty unconstitutional.

“President Obama’s unilateral legislative action violates the separation of powers provided for in the United States Constitution as well as the Take Care Clause and, therefore, is unconstitutional,” said U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.

The judge noted Obama “contended that although legislation is the most appropriate course of action to solve the immigration debate, his executive action was necessary because of Congress’ failure to pass legislation, acceptable to him, in this regard.”

“This proposition is arbitrary and does not negate the requirement that the November 20, 2014, executive action be lawfully within the president’s executive authority,” the judge wrote. “It is not.”

Quoting from a previous precedent, the judge said that in the “framework of our Constitution, the president’s power to see that the laws are faithfully executed refutes the idea that he is to be a lawmaker.”

“The Constitution limits his functions in the lawmaking process to the recommending of laws he thinks wise and the vetoing of laws he thinks bad,” Schwab said.

The judge said Obama’s contention that Congress had not worked in his time frame was largely irrelevant.

The Texas order said: “The United States of America, its departments, agencies, officers, agents and employees and Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security; R. Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of United States customs and Border Protection; Ronald D. Vitiello, deputy chief of United States Border Patrol, United States Customs and Border Protection; Thomas S. Winkowski, acting director of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement; and Leon Rodriguez, director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services are hereby enjoined from implementing any and all aspects or phases of the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.”

The outline of plans was “set out in the Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson’s memorandum dated November 20, 2014.”

Tea-party exodus: Site sees activism as 'pain in the a--'

DC_tea_party

Several tea-party staffers have resigned from the Tea Party News Network, accusing the company of employing “despicable practices” that are “immoral and unethical” – and treating the movement’s patriotic activism as a “pain in the a–,” “not an opportunity to save the country.”

The exodus Thursday came on the heels of a Daily Beast expose that revealed readers’ concern that the Tea Party New Network, or TPNN, began to drift from the movement’s core values. Instead, they say, the company focuses on promoting sensational click bait – like video footage of street fights – between its news postings.

“It was supposed to be an educational tool for people who were upset with what is going on in the world,” tea-party activist Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, also known as “Joe the Plumber,” told the left-leaning Daily Beast. “But then they figured out, ‘Hell, we can make more money off of this.’ I stopped going to the site. It stopped being informative.”

According to the report, TPNN’s Facebook page even included a video of a large man punching a young woman through a large window at a U.K. restaurant. A caption on the post read, “Did the Big guy go too far or do you think the girl got what she deserved?”

TPNN_post

Another post read, “VIDEO: Cowardly Sucker Punch Kills Autistic Man.” Others included: “Big Strutting Peacock Picks a Fight With the Wrong Guy” and “Homosexual Foster Dad Lets His Baby Die in a Hot Care; His Sentence is Outrageous.”

While there are mostly news stories posted on the Facebook page, WND also found posts encouraging followers to find cats in a large junk pile, detailing “not-so-flawless” photos of pop sensation Beyonce and depicting a “woman catapulted 50 feet by a passing car.”

TPNNpost3

“I won’t click on those d-mn stories. It’s about the shock factor. It has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with clicks,”  Wurzelbacher said. “How far are they willing to go to compromise their integrity? It makes me sick, it makes me angry. It makes me want to go kick someone’s a–.”

TPNN’s Facebook page has more than 1.2 million likes. Media contact information for the company appears to have been removed from its website.

TPNN news director Scottie Hughes told the Beast that the videos help the company engage its readers.

“Nobody talks politics 24/7. People talk sports. People talk dog shows,” she said. “We are like other news outlets trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. We are trying to make you a well-rounded person, so you can have stuff to talk about at the water cooler, so you aren’t just seen as the crazy tea party person who has been demonized for so long.”

Hughes said TPNN’s mission is “to rebrand what a tea-party person is,” but she added: “[W]e are all being pushed right now, and it is what it is for all of us in online media – get clicks, get clicks, get clicks, every one of us. Break news, break news, break news. Stories and clicks. And it is really hard for people like you and I who have studied journalism all our lives and who have this love for real, honest news.”

After the Daily Beast story ran, staffers submitted a resignation letter to TPNN, which was posted to Twitter. The letter signed by five staffers claims the company holds its writers in low esteem and treats readers as “unsophisticated simpletons.”

“We represent ourselves as ‘The Tea Party’ on Facebook and take no actions to hold ourselves to the higher standards of that designation,” the letter states. “Posts by fights.buzz and viral.buzz have become increasingly vile and unacceptable. The Tea Party is not TMZ and TPNN is not WorldStar.”

“The staff who work around the clock to produce timely and breaking content is regularly reminded that ‘writers are cheap,’” the letter continues. “The audience is regarded as unsophisticated simpletons. The activism that built all the infrastructure is considered a ‘pain in the ass’ not as an opportunity to save the country.”

TPNN, which was launched in 2012 to act as an “antidote to mainstream media bias,” is owned by TheTeaParty.net Founder Todd Cefaratti. According to the Daily Beast, TheTeaParty.net collected more than $6 million in donation during the most recent election cycle.

Cefaratti reportedly owns sites such as Fights.buzz and Viral.buzz, where many of the videos of fights posted by TPNN are found.
