Pastor Rick Warren's Forgiveness

Pastor Rick Warren is the preacher from the Saddleback church in Lake Forest, California. It is currently the 8th largest church in the Nation. He is also the author of the best selling "A Purpose Driven Life." Last week, his 27 year old son Matthew, committed suicide with a gun he purchased on the internet. I have a few things to say about this.

First of all, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I can not even imagine the pain that you and your family are going through and I pray I never do. We, as a Nation, pray for you. For those who think that Matthew is not in heaven because he took his own life are sorely mistaken and show their biblical ignorance. All souls belong to God and ALL souls go to be with Him when they die. ALL SOULS. Heaven is wherever God is. In the Bible, "hell" is called Gihanna. It was a heaping trash pit outside of Jerusalem where they took trash, dead animals and such. Sort of like a landfill and it burned day and night. It was called hell. The "hell" that awaits some hasn't been created yet. We will not be judged until the last day of the millennium. After the Lord's day. One day with the Lord is as a thousand years to man. You can learn more about all of this by going here: www.whatgodneeds.org.

So yes, Matthew is in heaven and he is with the Lord. The act of suicide is not an unforgiveable sin as many believe. Of course God isn't happy with it. It is the murder of yourself and God is against pre-meditated murder. But it is not unforgiveable. The only unforgiveable sin is not allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through you if you are delivered up before the anti-Christ when he is here pretending to be Jesus Christ. God's elect will be those who are called up. That's it. That is the ONE unforgiveable sin. All else can be forgiven.

As far as Pastor Warren saying that he forgives whoever it was that sold Matthew the gun...I'm sorry, but why? In a tweet, pastor Warren had this to say, Someone on the Internet sold Matthew an unregistered gun. I pray he seeks God's forgiveness. I forgive him. #MATTHEW 6:15. This person doesn't need to ask God's forgiveness. He didn't pull the trigger or sell it with the knowledge of what would be done with it. Someone who is intent on ending their life or the life of others will find a way to do it. It doesn't matter what they use when the end result is the same. Would you call for the clerk at Wal-mart to ask God for forgiveness if they had sold Matthew a belt which he later used to hang himself? A rope? Or a knife to cut the wrist?

We, as a Nation, have got to realize that taking things away from law abiding citizens WILL NOT stop crime and violence. Evil will always find a way and there will always be Good there to combat it. If you disarm us, the odds only get better for the evil. I prefer a level playing field. If guns kill people, then their are millions of defective ones out there because they haven't killed anyone and I can assure you, they have been left on their own for many, many hours. A large number of them have even been around alcohol and STILL they haven't broken the law or killed anyone. It is because, the object doesn't matter. The deed itself does and that deed will always find a solution to achieve the result it wants.
